Don't Ask, Don't Tell

It occurred to me this morning that the military officials who oppose repealing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" may not do so because they are anti-Gay or homophobic. Rather, to express a sexuality which is not of the majority is an expression of individuality. Individuality is something that the military finds important to suppress. The military seeks uniformity. Still, I believe DNDT should be repealed, but then, I find abhorrent the idea of surrendering one's individuality and independent thought in order to become someone else's cannon fodder.
