I was praying, in silent contemplation,
and I felt a nudge deep within; an invitation
to let everything go;
to release all that I held onto
--desires, needs, fears, defenses, securities, blame, guilt, pain,
facades, assumptions...--
to embrace emptiness.
A twinge of panic stabbed my heart...
Everything?
That was when I heard the voice of God:
"Don't worry child, I'll still be here."
